Job Overview:
The Finance & Accounting Intern manages the company's financial records, ensures accurate and timely bookkeeping, and handles day-to-day financial operations. This role includes managing accounts, creating receipts for customers and students across various courses and programs, maintaining finance records, and delivering financial insights at monthly meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Management:
- Oversee company accounts and maintain up-to-date records.
- Create and manage receipts for customers and students enrolled in courses, programs, and events.
- Maintain accurate financial records across different income streams.
- Zoho Books Management:
- Update Zoho Books regularly with income, expenses, and sales data.
- Ensure accurate logging and categorization of all transactions.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements with Zoho Books for consistency.
- Airtable Finance Management:
- Maintain and update finance-related data within Airtable.
- Collaborate with departments to align finance data with business objectives.
- Reporting & Presentations:
- Present monthly sales performance updates at town hall meetings.
- Prepare financial reports for leadership on expenses, income, and forecasts to support strategic decisions.
- Bookkeeping:
- Manage company bookkeeping with SimpleBooks Pvt Ltd to track all financial activities.
- Organize financial records for easy access during audits or reviews.
- Audit and Taxation:
- Assist with company audit processes.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for tax filing and regulatory compliance.
- Email and Communication Management:
- Handle financial communications for audit, tax, and other finance-related matters, addressing stakeholder inquiries promptly.
- Sales Performance Insights:
- Analyze monthly sales performance to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Work with team leaders to create detailed financial reports for decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial management, bookkeeping, and using financial software (e.g., Zoho Books).
- Strong understanding of financial processes, auditing, and taxation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, financial reporting tools, and Airtable is preferred.
- Ability to present financial data clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
