We are looking for a passionate Hardware Development Trainee to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and improvement of our robotics and educational hardware platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Academy Platforms
- Maintain and Improve Existing Platforms: Support and enhance existing educational hardware platforms such as the Obo Car and Obo Play.
- New Hardware Development: Design and development of new hardware platforms for academy courses in collaboration with the hardware team, under the guidance of the Hardware Development Lead.
- Documentation and SDKs: Develop comprehensive documentation, user guides, and SDKs to ensure the effective use of hardware platforms.
- Quality and Feedback Management: Monitor product quality, address technical issues, and integrate user feedback to maintain high standards of product excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Budget Management: Manage the hardware development budget for educational platforms with guidance from the Hardware Development Lead.
Production Line Management
- Batch Assembly: Support the assembly of Maker Kits (Starter Kit, Toolkit) and Obo Car Kit batches, ensuring timely completion within a 20-working-day timeline.
- Inventory and Supplier Management: Support component inventory management and maintain supplier relations to ensure a consistent stock of kit components.
- Stock Management: Ensure the availability of a minimum stock level of 15 Starter Kits, 15 OboPlay Kits, and 10 Toolkits.
- Process Improvement: Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives in the assembly process to increase efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience in PCB designing and CAD software.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers such as ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms used in educational robotics.
- Understanding of basic robotics principles and programming concepts.
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
