🧑‍💻 Overview

RoboticGen is a startup based in Sri Lanka on a mission to drive the next generation of Robotics and AI. We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our EduTech Software Development Team under RoboticGen Academy and learn alongside us as we scale our products.

The EduTech team builds open-source software for STEM education and contributes back to the community. One of our flagship products is Obo Blocks, used by students at RoboticGen Academy, partner institutes, and individual learners. You can explore our work on our GitHub, including one of our core repositories, Nexus-Tools. We're a small, close-knit team of 3–5, working in two-week sprints across the full product lifecycle from design to deployment.

This role combines,

• Hands-on, full-stack software engineering on real products
• Mentorship from senior engineers and structured feedback
• Exposure to modern, AI-assisted development workflows
• Open-source contribution and end-to-end product experience

• Work is organised into two-week sprints, spanning design, development, testing, and deployment

  • Attendance at the physical office is required at least one day per week
  • Remaining hours may be completed remotely, within a schedule agreed upon with the lead

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Python, FastAPI, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Tailwind CSS, Shadcn UI, React, Node.js, Next.js, and NestJS
• Write clean, well-documented code with guidance and mentorship from senior engineers
